According to BabyCenter, Piper is a name of English origin that literally means, “pipe player,” or “flute player.” It’s a name the stirs up feelings of fun and lightheartedness.
The name Piper moved up a few spots since 2020, sitting at number 88 on the list of popular girl names for 2021.
Although it can also be a boy’s name, it is more commonly used for girls.
Some famous Pipers are TV actress Piper Joy Curda and actress and Oscar nominee Piper Laurie (born Rosetta Jacobs).
